Finshed Poster

Here is the final poster design. After many meetings with my focus group I have taken their criticisms of past drafts and altered certain aspects of the layout and design to make it appealing to my target audience. I am pleased with the final out come of the poster as i feel it reflects the storyline of the film well.

Poster Draft 2

Here is the second draft of my film poster, I had gone to my focus group with my previous draft and they had given me a few improvements to make things such as brightening the image and adding the names of directors and actors in the conventional way of a film poster.
After doing this I presented them with this (draft 2) and once more they asked for a few more changes.
  • Change the colour in the 'play' from bright green to a more muted colour in order for it to not be so "in your face".
  • Make the eye look more 'glassy' and in depth into the lense of the camera.
  • Put the cameras name back on the wing of the camera (Which i had previously removed for 'product placement' reasons.) Putting the name of the camera back on the wing will make it clearer what the camera actually is.
After gaining this feedback I am currently working on a third draft of the poster.

Review Page Draft 1

After making this draft of 'The Review' I handed it to my focus group in order to gain constructive criticism to improve my work. Although the over all style and lay out was correct they gave me a number of things to improve.

  • There is usually more than two collumns for text, sometimes 3 or 4.
  • "Although the 'audience review' section is a good idea, it is not a convention of film magazines"
  • Spelling Errors
  • Too many varietys of font
Taking these comments on board I am currently re-drafting the review page.
